The historical significance of the 1987 Laser War is that this was the first pingame Data East manufactured. The playfield was designed by Joe Kaminkow. Art by Kevin O’Connor and Margaret Hudson.
This was a rescue pin painstakingly saved by Ron. A lot of work went into making this game really nice. Playfield cleaned up nicely and the CoinTaker LEDs make the colors pop. The translight is from a different Laser War and the cabinet graphics were cleaned up with a brand new vinyl wrap after any imperfections were cleaned up with Bondo and lots of sanding.
It plays great! It took me back remembering when I first saw this game in an arcade in New Orleans. I had never seen a played anything like it before.
